The Ripon Inn is set to introduce parking charges for those using its car park on Park Street.
The hotel is aiming to reduce the number of non-patrons using its car park at “the expense of paying customers and hotel guests.”
It will be introducing charges through Parking Eye ANPR, which will be installed in the car park “in the coming weeks.”
Dan Chrisp, General Manager at The Ripon Inn, said:
“We have noticed recently that our car park is being abused by non-patrons at the expense of our paying customers and hotel guests - who as a result cannot use a facility that is designed for them.
"We have now started monitoring and closing off sections of the car park in order to ensure we can provide for our customers as intended.
“If anyone guests or customers have any queries about this, or how it will work for them visiting us for a spot of lunch or a drink, please drop a message via the page and we will be happy to help.”
