A family-run vineyard near Harrogate is hosting a free open day later this month.
Yorkshire Heart, based in Nun-Monkton, will welcome visitors on Sunday 29th June from 11am to 4pm for tours and tastings.
It’s part of English Wine Week, which runs from 21st until 29th June.
The aim is to introduce as many people as possible to the ‘high quality, great tasting wines’ that are produced in the region.
Free short, guided tours of the vineyard and winery will run throughout the day at 11am, 12pm and 1pm, providing a glimpse into how the vineyard’s award-winning wines are produced.
There will also be opportunities to taste a selection of delicious still and sparkling wines produced by the vineyard with guided tastings throughout the day.

The event will also include live performances from local pianist, Karl Mullen, food on site from the Winehouse café and plenty of opportunities for guests to purchase their favourite wines by the glass or bottle.
The English wine week celebrations follow an exciting time for the vineyard, as the team have recently expanded, planting an additional 4000 vines of new grape varieties including Sauvignac and Merlot.
It brings the total to 29,000 vines of 20 grape varieties planted across 18 acres.
Speaking of the open day, Tim Spakouskas, Director of Yorkshire Heart Vineyard said:
“We’re proud to be celebrating English Wine Week by throwing open our doors for a special open day!
“It’s the perfect chance for us to share our passion for English wine and give visitors a taste of what makes our vineyard and the wider Yorkshire and English wine scene so special.
“We hope that guests will come along to enjoy a great day out and leave with a little more knowledge about English wine!”
Tickets for the guided tours must be booked online, with numbers limited to 30 people per guided tour.

As part of the vineyard’s English Wine Week celebration, Yorkshire Heart Vineyard will also be offering 15% off all wines purchased via their website, when using the code englishwine15, from Saturday 19th to Sunday 29th June.
