Upmarket bakery chain Gail's has confirmed it will open its first Yorkshire café in Harrogate.
Speculation began to build after the business advertised for jobs at a new Harrogate location.
And despite media speculation that the location might be in Knaresborough, the company has confirmed to Your Harrogate that it will open in Harrogate.
A Gail’s spokesperson said:
“Gail's is excited to confirm it is opening a new bakery in Harrogate later this year.
“The opening will bring Gail's craft baking to the community, including creating a number of craft baking, barista, and management roles.
“We will also be donating surplus baked goods through our Neighbourly partnerships.
“This is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and improving access to quality food and drink on the high-street.”
The premium bakery chain is currently recruiting staff, including a bakery manager with a salary of £42,000 per annum, and an assistant manager, at £32,900.

What is Gail's?
Founded in London in the 1990s, Gail's started out as a wholesale supplier to restaurants before opening its first neighbourhood bakery café on Hampstead High Street in 2005.
Since then, the business has grown steadily, expanding its presence across the UK.
Positioned as a premium, mid-range option within a market largely dominated by high-street chains, Gail’s has built a reputation for handmade breads made with natural ingredients and longer fermentation methods.

Its menu features a selection of sourdough loaves, baguettes and pastries, alongside sweet options such as buns and cookies, as well as a range of speciality coffees.
The company now operates more than 170 bakeries nationwide, with further openings planned.
While many locations are concentrated in London and the south east, it also has a presence in cities including Oxford, Brighton and Manchester.
Seasonal offerings include a variety of sourdough breads and sweet treats such as malted chocolate and stout cake, chocolate tahini bites and pecan crumb cake, alongside drinks including matcha-based options and a turmeric latte.
