Six people have been arrested after a car was stolen during a burglary in Harrogate.
Police say the incident happened in the early hours of 17th February, when suspects reportedly broke into a home, took car keys and stole a vehicle parked outside the property. The owner reported the theft later that morning. Officers investigating the incident later traced the stolen vehicle to Rudbeck Drive in Harrogate. When police moved in, two people ran from the scene. After a short search of the area, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, both from Bradford, were arrested and taken into custody for questioning. A second vehicle believed to be connected to the burglary was later located in West Yorkshire. North Yorkshire Police officers pursued it into Bradford, where it was brought to a stop on a housing estate. Two 19-year-old men from Bradford were arrested at the scene. The following day, 18th February, two further suspects, both 17-year-olds from Harrogate were arrested and taken into custody. All six individuals have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft, or a combination of both offences. They remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
