Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland is set to return to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York in just a few weeks.
The outdoor ice rink, funfair and Santa’s Grotto will return on Friday 14th November, running until Sunday 4th January 2026.
The 2025 season marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which began in 2005 as The Ice Factor on the Eye of York near Clifford’s Tower.
The rink moved to its current location in 2010, expanding to include a funfair and Santa’s Grotto, and has taken place every year since except 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

At the centre of the attraction is a 975 sq m outdoor ice rink, which is the largest in the North of England.
The rink is set around a 30ft Christmas tree and is surrounded by illuminated trees, a rink-side café and terrace, and a viewing platform.
Skating sessions run daily, excluding Christmas Day, with eleven 45-minute sessions available each day.
A Frequent Skater Pass is available, offering every sixth visit free after collecting five stamps.

The funfair will again feature rides including the Twist, Waltzer and Miami, as well as the vintage Dodgems dating back to 1937.
Children’s rides and game stalls will also return. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments from the Chalet café, the German Grill, and a woodland walk leading to Santa’s Grotto, where children will receive a gift.
Paul Tyler, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York, said:
“Christmas at York Designer Outlet just wouldn’t be the same without Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland.
"For many families, the event has become a cherished fixture in their festive calendar, offering fun outdoor activities for all ages to enjoy.
"We love seeing the joy it brings, and it truly helps spread that festive cheer while people are also able to tick off their Christmas shopping list.”
Event organiser Georgi Wood added:
"We are so excited to be celebrating the milestone of our 20th anniversary this year. So many people have grown up with a visit to the ice rink or funfair as part of their festive celebrations.
"As always we will have some fun decorations and theming around the site, making Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland the perfect place for the festive selfie and some great winter exercise.”
Tickets for a 45-minute skating session are priced at £15.95 for adults and £14.95 for children and concessions, with family packages and group discounts available. A 20% Early Bird discount applies until 30 September.

Santa’s Grotto will also return, with tickets priced at £7 per child plus booking fee. Reservations can be made in advance at www.yorkshireswinterwonderland.com.
