Harrogate-born Rachel Daly is among Yorkshire's finest on the King's birthday honours, receiving an MBE for her achievements in women's football.
A former Rossett School pupil and an Aston Villa forward, Rachel retired from the national team last year, having represented England at Euro 2022 and scoring her first World Cup goal in 2023 when England reached the final.
Harrogate resident Roisin Helen Currie, who is chief executive officer of Greggs PLC, has been awarded a CBE, whilst Harrogate-based Matthew Thurstan the chief finance officer and director general of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, receives the Companions of the Order of the Bath (CB) for public service.
Whilst Harrogate's Dr Matthew John Gaskell, a consultant psychologist and clinical lead for the NHS Northern Gambling Service, is honoured with an MBE For services to people experiencing gambling harm.
Congratulations also go to Knaresborough-based Angela Helen Mountain. As founder and director of Sunshine Community Nursery, Little Rascals Private Day Nurseries, and Giggles Day Nurseries in Leeds, Angela also receives an MBE for services to early years.
Joanna Fiona Armitage (Fiona Movley) is chair and trustee of Harrogate International Festivals and is honoured with an MBE for services to Charity.
There will also be celebrations in Wetherby as Fiona Geraldine Martin, founder of charity "The Friends of Alfie Martin," is appointed an MBE for services to fundraising in Leeds.
