In this special episode of the Your Harrogate Podcast, we’ve teamed up with Fostering North Yorkshire to speak to a young person who has benefitted from having a foster parent. Summer-Anne was just 14-years-old when relationships broke down with her biological family and she was considered 'homeless.' After speaking to social services, she was paired up with a foster parent and believes she would not have been able to achieve half the things she wanted to without their support. We hear her story, including her apprehension at 'living with a stranger', and gain a valuable insight into the foster caring process and just how much of a positive impact it can have on a young person's life.
