Three talented Harrogate boxers have scooped medals at an international tournament in Portugal.
Charlie Eaglin, Eddie Large and Max Cullen, all members of H Hour Boxing Gym in Harrogate, competed at the Porto Box Cup 2026.
Charlie led the way with a “composed and clinical performance”, according to his coaches, to secure gold and earn a well-deserved international title.
Eddie brought home silver following a hard-fought final that sparked some debate, whilst Max Cullen also impressed, displaying “great bravery and heart” to claim bronze.

Keith Large, Eddie’s dad, told Your Harrogate:
“Beyond the medals, the experience proved invaluable, giving all three fighters confidence, development and memories that will shape their future in the sport.”
He was also full of praise for H Hour Boxing Gym, and in particular coaches Matty Cullen and Dan Flack.
Keith added:
“With dedicated coaching and a strong team spirit, H HOUR Boxing Gym is fast establishing itself as one of Harrogate’s rising forces in amateur boxing - with plenty more to come.”
