Mother Shipton's Cave has won the 'best magical experience' at the Little Vikings – York for Kids Awards 2025.
The Knaresborough attraction - one of the oldest in England - was both nominated and named the award winner following a public vote.
The annual Little Vikings awards highlight the best family attractions, experiences, and businesses in York and the surrounding areas.
Fiona Martin, owner of Mother Shipton’s Cave, revealed the news via social media.
She said:
“This truly feels like a dream come true — could there be a more perfect title for us?
“Sharing the magic of Mother Shipton’s birthplace is our greatest joy, and we’re thrilled to be recognised by real families in the York area for doing just that.
“Congratulations to all the incredible winners and finalists! The competition was fierce, with some huge names in the running.”
