Bettys is introducing daytime bookings at its Harrogate venue for the first time.
The well-known Yorkshire café and tea room will begin offering reservations during the day at The Spindler Gallery in Harrogate (lower level of the café), alongside its existing system in Ilkley.
Until now, bookings at the Harrogate site have been limited to evening dining from 6pm between Thursday and Saturday, as well as selected premium afternoon tea experiences.
The move means customers will have the option to secure a table in advance during daytime hours, while still allowing space for those who prefer to visit without a reservation.
Nicky Sellers, director of operations at Bettys, said:
"This is a milestone for Bettys and reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the guest experience while preserving the timeless charm that has made Bettys a Yorkshire institution.
"We realise that the queue can be a barrier for some customers and we want to be able to offer everyone the Bettys experience that suits them best."
The Spindler Gallery, located on the lowest level of the Harrogate branch, is known for showcasing the largest single collection of Spindler artworks in the world.
According to Bettys, reservations for daytime dining will remain optional, with walk-in customers continuing to be welcomed.
Bookings must be made online and will close at 9am on the day of service.
Reservations will open on Monday 30th March 2026.
