Piccolino in Harrogate has served its final customers as the restaurant prepares to make way for a new steakhouse.
The Italian restaurant on Parliament Street closed its doors on Sunday at (22nd March), four years after opening place of the former Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant in January 2022.
Customers were informed earlier this month that the venue would close and be replaced by a Tomahawk Steakhouse.
Piccolino previously operated a restaurant in York on Ouse Bridge, which closed in September 2021.
That site later became a Rio Brazilian Steakhouse, a sister company to Tomahawk Steakhouse, before closing in February 2025.
A spokesperson said:
“After many wonderful years serving the Harrogate community, the decision has been made to close our Piccolino restaurant to make way for a new dining concept that will take on the space.
"Our team has been at the heart of the restaurant from the very beginning, creating the warm, lively atmosphere and Italian hospitality Piccolino is known for.”
The existing team will continue with the restaurant as it begins its transition.
The spokesperson added:
“We’re truly grateful to the Harrogate guests who have joined us around the table over the years and look forward to welcoming many of them at nearby Piccolino restaurants, where the food, the conversation and the spirit of Italian dining will always be waiting.”
No opening date has yet been revealed for the new Tomahawk Steakhouse.
