Harrogate fundraiser Emily Lethaby is continuing her efforts to raise £4,000 for breast cancer charity 'CoppaFeel!' ahead of her 100km trek across the Great Wall of China.
On Saturday (21st March), she hosted a charity tennis tournament at Harrogate Spa Tennis Club, which raised over £400.
She is now organising two padel tournaments, to be held on Saturday 2nd May at Surge Padel Centre in Harrogate.
- 8am-9.30am: Mixed Padel Tournament
- 9.30am-11am: Female Padel Tournament
Entry is £25 and all money will be going to CoppaFeel!, which works to promote early detection of breast cancer, particularly among young people.
There are some great prizes on offer, and a free hot drink is included for all entrants.
People looking to sign up or local businesses who would like to sponsor the event are encouraged to get in touch with Emily via email: emily.lethaby1994@hotmail.com or by phone: 07720 388226.
Great Wall of China fundraiser
Emily, 31, will travel to China in September to trek 100km along remote sections of the Great Wall over five demanding days as part of the CoppaTrek! challenge with Giovanna Fletcher.
Cancer has affected Emily’s family personally, including her dad’s diagnosis with prostate cancer, which highlighted to her just how life-changing early diagnosis can be.
Anyone who would like to support Emily's campaign can donate via her JustGiving page here.
