A charity concert hosted by Harrogate district schoolchildren is heading back to the Royal Hall.
The Rural Schools Charity Concert will be held at the historic venue on Friday 26th April.
And this year it will be fundraising for the Sir Robert Ogden Centre at Harrogate Hospital and Lauren Doherty’s Road Safety Talks.
The event was able to raise more than £8,300 last year and will again see 240 children take to the stage for various songs and musical performances.
Children from Dacre Braithwaite, Darley, Hampsthwaite, The Ripley, Beckwithshaw, Kettlesing Federation, Killinghall, Summerbridge and the Upper Nidderdale Federation will be taking part.
Victoria Kirkman, Executive Headteacher of the Ripley, Beckwithshaw and Kettlesing Federation, told Your Harrogate:
“This is a real opportunity for schools to come together to not only showcase their talents, but to raise vital funds for two local charities that are close to lots of people’s hearts.
“It’s one of those primary school experiences that the children will remember for the rest of their lives and that’s what we want to create.
“For some children it can be daunting but we’re really inclusive. It’s about the majority being involved, so we have some children who have never been on stage through to others who perform outside of school.
“We want to give the children an enjoyable, once-in-a-lifetime experience at somewhere as remarkable as the Royal Hall.”

There will be a mixture of classic songs and some created by the schools themselves performed on the night.
Tickets vary from £12 to £28 and can be purchased online here.
