Police are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A61 at Daffodil Bends.
The A61 is closed between Bishop Monkton and the Quarry Moor roundabout in Ripon.
The collision occurred at approximately 6.30am this morning.
A police spokesperson said:
"Oil has spilt, and the carriageway will need cleaning before the road can be open again.
"Motorists should avoid the area if possible."
