Stump Cross Caverns has won a Visit York Tourism Award following a glamorous ceremony last night (Thursday).
The event, held at York Racecourse, aims to recognise the “pinnacle of excellence” within York’s tourism and cultural sectors.
Winners are chosen based on “quality, innovation, and outstanding customer service” across various categories.
And Stump Cross Caverns near Pateley Bridge came away as the winner of the ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.’

The popular tourist attraction beat tough competition from Mother Shipton’s Cave, York Army Museum and Yorkshire Heart Vineyard to be named category winners.
