Pupils at Oatlands Infant School in Harrogate were treated to a festive visit this morning (Tuesday) as Santa's reindeer arrived on the school grounds.
The appearance had been kept secret from pupils, who had spent the previous day spotting “lost reindeer” posters around the school and discovering half-eaten carrots.
The reindeer were on site from 8:30am to 11am, giving each class the chance to meet them up close and learn more about the animals.

Staff said the visit was designed to enhance the school’s Christmas activities and create a memorable experience for pupils in the final weeks of term.
