Popular Great Yorkshire Show app will be unavailable during this year's event Organisers of the Great Yorkshire Show have revealed their free app that includes show details and a map of the Showground will be unavailable this year. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), who organise the show, launched the app last year alongside Gyder.app and Maison Parfaite. But the charity has revealed that Gyder Ltd intend to cease trading imminently, making the app unavailable. A YAS spokesperson explained:
"Due to events outside of our control, this year’s Great Yorkshire Show App will not be available. "Gyder Ltd, the Show’s contracted independent provider delivering the GYS App, have notified us of their imminent action to cease trading. "Given this unfortunate news, the quality output we strive for is not achievable, we aim to deliver quality experiences to all our attendees and therefore, we have made the tough decision not to continue with a 2023 GYS App."Souvenir programmes will be available to purchase at the Showground for £5, which will include all the details and information visitors will need. Funds will go to the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity supporting farmers and agriculture. The Great Yorkshire Show will run from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th July 2023. Tickets are now sold out for all four days. A map and what's on each day can also be found for free on the YAS website, whilst physical maps, signage, and stewards will be visible at the show.
