North Yorkshire Police officers have been clamping down on illegal parking in Harrogate following concerns raised by residents.
Officers patrolled the town yesterday morning (Tuesday) to warn motorists about a potential fine for blocking driveways or pavements.
Leaflets were left on cars that were deemed to have parked “inconsiderately”, including on Mowbray Square and Oatlands Drive.

A police spokesperson said:
“Our officers advised members of the public about their responsibility to park safely and always be considerate to other road users.
“Remember, we’re always here to respond to any concerns which you have. You can let us know by visiting our website, or calling 101.
“In an emergency it's always 999.”
