A Harrogate sixth form is celebrating Oxbridge offers for nine of its pupils.
The St. Aidan’s and St John Fisher Associated Sixth Form said it is “incredibly proud” of Year 13 pupils planning their next steps.
Pupils either received university and apprenticeship offers, secured employment or have planned gap years.
The school also commended the “academic focus” of those who received offers of places for Oxford or Cambridge.
A spokesperson for the Associated Sixth Form said:
“Congratulations to current Year 13 students from the Associated Sixth Form who have received offers of places at Oxford and Cambridge.
“All our Oxbridge applicants deserve to be commended for their academic focus and commitment they showed throughout this demanding process.
“They are a credit to all those who have inspired and supported them.”
There was one offer from Cambridge for St. Aidan’s student Zoe Adamson to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Lucy Cavendish.
There were eight further offers from Oxford for Sydelle Almedia Vaz (Physics), Annabel Baxter (Music), Jonah Blin (French), Jack Brierley (French and Beginners’ Portuguese), Arlo Collins (Physics), Emily Hooson (Biomedical Sciences), Seth Pickersgill (PPE) and Zsofia Ther (Ancient and Modern History).
