The park near Ripon is reopening to visitors on Thursday 28th March, with over 40 rides and attractions tailored to children under 12. Lightwater Valley had been closed over Winter to allow for upgrades and additions to the park. And as part of its reopening this Easter, the adventure park is launching a new family rollercoaster called ‘The Rocket.’ [caption id="attachment_104537" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Lightwater Valley is set to reopen next week.[/caption] The new coaster is said to be “perfect for junior thrill seekers.” It’s aimed at 10-12 year olds who will “soar above the park” and experience “gravity defying twists and turns.” The height restriction is 1.2m unaccompanied and 1.1m accompanied by an adult. Another new attraction to be unveiled at Lightwater Valley is a Jeep Safari ride. Visitors will set off on a 4x4 jeep expedition before coming face to face with some of Africa’s “largest and most fearsome” animals. The soft play area and Valley Theatre have also been relocated and extended. The theatre will be welcoming popular children’s characters Peppa Pig and George alongside Bluey and Bingo for singalong shows.
