Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Tom Gordon is set to take on two major marathons in aid of local charities.
Tom will run both the London and Paris Marathons in the coming weeks in support of two charities.
He’s hoping to raise £2,000, which will be split between the two.
A keen runner, Tom ran the Great North Run in support of St Michael’s Hospice in both 2023 and 2024.
And he’s asking for nominations from constituents for charities that he could raise money for.
Tom said:
“I’m glad to have this opportunity to raise money and awareness for local charities.
“The work they do is absolutely invaluable to our community, and I am very pleased to be able to support them in this way.
“If you wish to nominate a local charity working in the community, please do reach out.”
He added:
“Running is a great passion of mine, and it’s great to have the opportunity to use that to raise money for some of our fabulous charities in Harrogate and Knaresborough.
“I look forward to hearing back from constituents, and raising money and awareness for local charities through these marathons.”
