A new social event with a light-hearted twist is launching in Harrogate this autumn.
'Pitch Your Pal' invites participants to take the stage – not to sell themselves, but to pitch their single friends.
The idea is simple: create a short, fun presentation highlighting a friend’s best qualities, then deliver it to the audience in just a few minutes.
Each pitch is followed by a brief Q&A session before guests are encouraged to mingle and chat over drinks.
Organisers say the event combines humour, creativity and connection in a relaxed setting.

The first Pitch Your Pal night takes place at Cold Bath Clubhouse on Thursday 27th November from 7pm to 9:30pm.
Presenters must register in advance and submit their slides before the event, while general admission tickets are available for anyone who wants to watch or join in the social side of the evening.
Tickets are priced at £10 for general admission, with presenter tickets starting at £25.
Organisers Georgina Cowley and Tiffany Snowden say they wanted to create a community-driven event that offers something a little different from traditional social or dating nights.
Georgina said:
“Dating can sometimes feel daunting or pressured, but Pitch Your Pal is all about fun, friendship, and connection in a low-pressure and chilled environment.
“It’s not just for singles – it’s for anyone who wants a night out with a difference.”
The Harrogate launch will serve as a pilot, with plans to expand Pitch Your Pal to other regional cities across the UK in 2026.
Tickets for the Harrogate event are available now on Eventbrite here.
