A suspect appeared in court this week following an incident with a 79-year-old woman in Knaresborough.
44-year-old Estelle Bradley appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (29th April) charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
She is also accused of assaulting a police officer while in custody at Harrogate Police Station.
The incident happened on Knaresborough High Street at around 11.30am on 17th October 2025.
It is alleged that Bradley pushed the victim to the pavement close to a passing heavy goods vehicle.
She suffered a cut on her head that needed gluing at hospital.
Bradley was traced and arrested following a CCTV appeal by North Yorkshire Police.
She has also been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, a police officer, at Harrogate Police Station on 28th April 2026.
This occurred in custody while she was being charged with the other offence.
Bradley has been remanded into custody and is due at York Crown Court on 1st June 2026.
