A new Indian restaurant has opened its doors in Harrogate to a warm reception from diners, with its launch night drawing glowing reviews.
Abu’s Harrogate officially opened on Cheltenham Parade this week, taking over the former Kinara Tandoori site next to Cattleman’s Grill. The restaurant welcomed guests for its first evening of service, showcasing a menu packed with traditional Indian favourites alongside a selection of house specials. Diners were treated to a wide variety of dishes, including classic curries such as tikka, balti, korma and karahi, as well as freshly prepared tandoori options and signature creations designed to highlight bold flavours and spices. The new venue is the latest venture linked to the well-established Abu’s Darlington. Owner Abu Raihan said the opening night exceeded expectations - and early feedback suggests the restaurant has already made a strong impression. One diner said: “We went on opening night and would highly recommend it. "The chef’s banquet was full of great flavours and everything tasted fresh and well balanced.” Another added: “The food was top notch and the staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was brilliant – we’ll definitely be returning.” Guests also praised the quality of the ingredients and the welcoming service. One diner said: “The chicken was tender and well marinated, and the sauces were fresh. "The staff made sure we had everything we needed.”
