Police have revealed a body has been found in the Nidd Gorge area in Knaresborough during their search for missing 22-year-old Sophie Lambert.

The 22-year-old went missing last Friday evening and some of her belongings were found near Nidd Gorge in Knaresborough the following day. And this morning (Wednesday), a body has been found in the River Nidd. A police spokesperson said:
"It is too early to confirm the identity, but Sophie’s family have been informed and are receiving specialist support. We ask that their privacy is respected.
