UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
North Yorkshire Police has warned motorists of a road closure this morning (Wednesday) due to a fire.
Fire crews have been dealing with a large barn fire at Allerton Park during the early hours.
Whilst they deal with the blaze, the A168 has been closed in both directions between Boroughbridge and the Allerton Park roundabout.
The fire service said it is expected to be closed “for some time”.
