In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, Pete Egerton is at Harrogate High school chatting to Harrogate Railway Juniors' chairman, Lee Holmes and one of the coaches, Luke Duncan. The Rail's juniors have grown in size quite rapidly in recent times, but like so many grass-roots clubs, are finding the ever increasing cost of everything a real struggle. They're looking for Harrogate businesses to invest in possible sponsorship, but the focus this weekend (Sunday 11th June) is a football gala. Around 1000 children are expected to feature and monies raised will go to local charity "Shine21." Based in North Yorkshire, they are dedicated to the lives of children with Down's syndrome. Lee's young daughter was born with Down's syndrome and he his passionate about raising awareness and hopefully this Sunday, lots of funds too...
