In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, Nick Hancock is at Gracie Barra, a Harrogate-based Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defence school, to discuss a charity event this Sunday (14th May). The event this weekend is for the Alastair Mackenzie Memorial Fund, established by Christina Mackenzie in memory of her husband Alastair, who tragically lost his life to suicide in 2022. Since his passing Christina has worked closely with The Jordan Legacy and, incredibly, through various fundraising events, over £10,000 has been raised to-date, donated to support the foundation's work in suicide prevention. The event, starting at 9am, is open to anyone with an interest in Jiu Jitsu and will include instructor demonstrations, matches in the afternoon, a bake sale and a talk from TJL founder Steve Phillip...
