We're delighted that a number of famous faces will be joining us for the Your Harrogate Local Hero Awards at Rudding Park this evening.
The Local Hero Awards are all about celebrating extraordinary local people who have gone above and beyond to support others within the Harrogate community.
And to help champion those people who deserve recognition, a number of local and national celebrities will be in attendance.
Tom Gordon, the new MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, will be joining us, as well as Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her daughter Edith.
We also have Natalie J Robb of Emmerdale fame, Harrogate's Duncan Goodwin fresh from his inspirational performance on The Piano and our own Olympic hero Harry Hepworth, who has been shortlisted in the Sporting Achievement category for his exploits in Paris earlier this year.

Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen is a regular attendee of the Your Harrogate Local Hero Awards.
Speaking at last year's event, she said:
“It’s a fantastic ceremony to come to and you always leave feeling uplifted.
“It makes your own troubles and your own problems pale in comparison. It’s just a great night.”
Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright, who is unable to make it this year, was also full of praise for the Local Hero Awards in 2023.
He said:
“When you turn on the News nowadays, there’s always bad news, but when you come to something like the Local Hero awards, it makes you realise there are so many good people out there as well.”
Follow the Your Harrogate Local Hero Awards on DAB, online and on your smart speaker from 6pm.
