Stump Cross Caverns is set to open a brand new cave for the public to explore for the first time in 25 years.
The popular tourist attraction near Pateley Bridge have been digging through layers of ancient glacial mud to uncover a new cave that they believe dates back to the Ice Age.
New discoveries include bones from wolverine, bison, reindeer and wolves, as well as a "remarkable" arrowhead.
The new cave, branded 'C-Chamber', has been known to cavers since the Victorian era but had not been accessible.
However new Stump Cross owner Oliver Bowerman has said they are working with Craven Pothole Club to excavate the site.
A spokesperson said:
"We're eager to roll up our sleeves, sift through the mud and see what prehistoric secrets are waiting to be told.
"Who knows what we'll find beneath the surface?"
The new cave will soon be made available for the public to explore.
The site has been visited by ITV News, who have ventured down into the new passage. Watch the video here.
