Rudding Park’s immersive dining restaurant FIFTY TWO has been named Best Fine Dining Restaurant at the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards.
The ceremony took place at New Dock Leeds on Monday (1st December) and recognised leading businesses across Yorkshire’s tourism and hospitality sector.
The Harrogate restaurant, which opened in May last year, was selected ahead of fellow finalists Pignut & The Hare, Chef’s Table by Josh Barnes, The Box Tree Restaurant, Rafters Restaurant and Chartwell at Aldwark Manor Estate.
Led by head chef and host Adam Degg, FIFTY TWO offers an experience built around ingredients sourced from Rudding Park’s kitchen garden and trusted local suppliers.
Adam, who appeared on BBC’s Great British Menu, said the award reflects the team’s commitment to creating a welcoming and playful take on high-end dining:
“It’s amazing to receive this recognition, it means so much to the team who are passionate about injecting fun into fine dining. The best parties happen in the kitchen and we like to think our restaurant captures exactly that spirit.
“We want guests to feel as though they have been invited to a relaxed dinner party at home – with exceptional food, flowing drinks and lively conversation.
"At the heart of the room is a seven-meter kitchen island, surrounded by five tables with social seating offer prime views of the action.
"Like a dinner party with friends, you don’t see a menu in advance and guests place their faith in the cooking skills of the host, so in this case, me and my team!”
