The ongoing roadworks on Hookstone Road in Harrogate are "almost complete", according to Northern Gas Networks.
Temporary traffic lights have been in place on the road to allow for essential gas works, causing delays for motorists during busy periods.
And to allow for works to progress on the last section of the gas main under the road and footpath, Northern Gas has now introduced a lane closure on Hookstone Drive from Wayside Walk to Wetherby Road.
This will be in place until 26th October.
Mark Mawhood, Business Operations Manager for Northern Gas Networks, said:
“Our essential gas mains replacement works at Hookstone Road are almost complete and we’re now into the final phase of the project.
“To keep our teams and members of the public safe while we replace the last section of gas main under the road and in the footpath, we’ve introduced a lane closure on Hookstone Drive from Wayside Walk to Wetherby Road, which will be in place until 26th October.
“We apologise for any disruption motorists may be experiencing in the meantime, and thank customers in Harrogate for their continued patience as we work to finish this final section as safely and quickly as possible.”
