Temperatures in the Harrogate area could reach highs of 25 degrees today (Monday).
It comes after the Met Office issued a 'heat alert' for large parts of the UK - with temperatures in some areas set to reach 30 degrees.
A heat alert is aimed at health and care professionals or anyone with a role in reducing the harm extended periods of hot weather can have on health.
The heat in the Harrogate district is set to top 25 degrees this evening.
Temperatures are expected to remain similarly high tomorrow (Tuesday) before dropping to 17 degrees by Friday.
Dan Rudman from the Met Office said:
"Heatwave conditions need to remain in situ for three consecutive days.
"Whether or not everyone experiences heatwave thresholds, most of the UK will experience the highest temperatures so far this year."
