A Harrogate primary school is appealing to residents to donate any unwanted iPads to help students with special educational needs.
Springwater School has pupils ranging from two to 19-years-old who may have profound and multiple, severe or physical difficulties.
And the school in Starbeck has launched an appeal for iPads that can be used in the classroom and to "regulate" pupils with learning difficulties.
Mr Andrew Mullane, the Assistant Head at Springwater, has been spearheading the campaign.
He said:
“If you have an old iPad you don't use, or even have the funds to help us buy some, it would make a massive difference to our school.
“I know it's a big ask for iPads, but our students are used to using them and can navigate them independently and they play a big part in helping us regulate a number of our students.”

Andrew has shared the appeal across popular Harrogate Facebook groups, including Harrogate Host.
Four iPads have already been donated, but the school is hoping to gather 15 in total.
He added:
“Funds are extremely tight, hence why I am trying to use the power of social media to try and get even one additional iPad for the school.”
Any donated iPads will be wiped of data and repurposed for pupils to use.
Springwater cannot use the first two iPads that were released, (first generation and iPad two) as they're not compatible with the school's online safeguarding system.
If you'd like to donate an iPad or the funds to buy one for Springwater, call 01423 883214 or email admin@springwater.n-yorks.sch.uk
