Harrogate siblings take on Hyrox challenge in memory of 'wonderful' dad

Kaylei, Simon and Dave Millea are competing in memory of their dad.

Three Harrogate siblings are set to push their physical limits next spring as they take on one of Europe’s toughest fitness challenges in memory of their father.

Kaylei, Simon and Dave Millea will compete at Hyrox London Olympia, which runs from 24th to 29th March 2026.

The trio are fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support following the death of their father in 2025.

The event will be a full family affair, with Kaylei taking part in her first ever Hyrox competition in the mixed doubles category alongside Dave.

Simon, who has previously competed in Hyrox, will also return to the arena in a doubles race with Dave.

In addition to both doubles events, Dave will compete in a solo race during the same week.

Hyrox combines endurance running with functional fitness workouts and attracts competitors of varying experience levels.

For the Millea siblings, the challenge is as much about remembrance as it is about fitness.

Kaylei said:

“After the loss of our incredible father, we decided to take on a challenge that would stretch each of our fitness levels, raising money for the incredible charity MacMillan Cancer Support and it’s going to be a real family affair!

“For anyone who’s experienced witnessing a loved one battle with Cancer, they know this challenge is trivial in comparison, and that the incredible support from teams like MacMillan Cancer Support is invaluable.”

Funds raised through the challenge will support the charity’s work across the UK, with the siblings also dedicating the effort to their mother, whom they described as their biggest supporter.
