Two Harrogate district primary schools have teamed up as part of their Community Give Back campaign.
Harrogate district primary schools come together for Community Give Back campaign Two Harrogate district primary schools have teamed up to support parents this Christmas as part of their Community Give Back campaign. Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation, which is made up of Glasshouses and St Cuthbert's primary schools, came together last Saturday afternoon (9th December) for a Christmas film, popcorn and pizza. Primary school staff gave up their time to offer parents a few hours of free childcare to allow them to get stuck into their Christmas shopping. This initiative came from their Community Give Back campaign, which aims to “make life better for others, and for the community to support families.” They’re also aiming to teach children about the importance of ‘giving back’ and how that can have a significant impact on their personal development and well-being. Ang Lumley, Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation Business Manager, said:
“As part of the community give back we would like to thank Dales Market Corner for providing the popcorn and juice and Pateley Pizza for providing pizzas. “Without this community help we could not offer to fund these sessions and it was very much appreciated by the parents, staff and children.”[caption id="attachment_92813" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Children from Glasshouses and St Cuthbert's Primary schools.[/caption] Community Give Back Campaign The campaign has seen the Federation’s fundraising team and rights respecting team meet and plan events. This has included Christmas carolling as they continue their initiative to ‘give back’ to the local community. A spokesperson for the Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation said:
