Food shortages are continuing at Morrisons stores across the Harrogate district following a week of supply issues.
Last week, Morrisons revealed a cyber attack had affected its supply chain and was the reason behind empty shelves at some of its supermarkets.
An attack on the supermarket chain’s software system caused widespread shortages on fresh products including fruit and veg.
And it appears the shortages have continued, with empty shelves at stores in Harrogate, Ripon and Boroughbridge.
Popular social media account North Yorkshire Weather Updates, which has more than 305k followers, shared a photo of the empty shelves in Harrogate:
The freezers at Harrogate Morrisons are also currently empty, alongside a sign that reads:
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused due to this fridge/freezer requiring repair.
“If you cannot find the product usually featured here, please ask a colleague for assistance.”
Morrisons has not revealed how many of its stores have been impacted.
