A workshop helping women stay active during pregnancy and return to exercise after birth is coming to Harrogate.
‘Strong Through Pregnancy & Beyond’ will take place at Sicklinghall Cricket Club on Wednesday 14th October, from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Led by Chrissi Robinson and Esther Dawson, the session is aimed at pregnant and postnatal women who want to build confidence with exercise.
The evening will combine discussion with practical activities, covering strength training during pregnancy, pelvic floor health, lifting and preparing the body for birth.
Other topics include pelvic girdle pain, diastasis, postnatal recovery and returning to running.
The organisers will also address common myths around exercising during pregnancy, with an emphasis on understanding individual changes and avoiding pressure to “bounce back”.
In the event listing, organisers said:
“No judgement. No bounce back expectations. No blanket rules.
"Just evidence based advice to help you understand your changing body and keep doing the things that matter to you."
The workshop will be held at the cricket club on Kirkby Lane.
Tickets cost £22.38 and can be booked through Eventbrite.
