Crown Hotel to host Yorkshire Day celebrations

The Crown Hotel is hosting a special event to celebrate Yorkshire Day.

The Crown Hotel in Harrogate is set to celebrate Yorkshire Day in style next week.

On Friday (1st August), the hotel will host a special community event showcasing local food, drink and culture.

A drive-through cream tea service will run from 1–4 pm, offering freshly baked scones with jam, cream, and a hot drink for £5 per person.

Guests can collect their refreshments from their car outside the hotel.

The hotel’s front car park will feature a Yorkshire-themed pop-up with:

A Yorkshire Tea station and giveaways in the hotel lobby
Cold Bath Brewery serving local ales and lagers
A Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Van
A stall from local artist Tom Wriglesworth
A visit from the Knaresborough Town Crier
Yorkshire flags, bunting, and traditional décor with staff in flat caps

Dan Siddle, General Manager at The Crown Hotel Harrogate, said:

“We’re proud to be part of Harrogate’s heritage, and Yorkshire Day is the perfect excuse to celebrate what makes this town and this county so special.

“Whether you’re popping by for a scone or staying for a pint, there’s something for everyone.

“We’ll have the bunting up, the drinks brewing, and a proper Yorkshire welcome waiting.”

The event is open to guests, locals, and visitors.
