A belated awards ceremony for the Great Knaresborough Bed Race is set to be held later this week.
The event returned for the 58th year on 14th June, with 90 teams taking on the 2.4-mile course.
It’s estimated that around 30,000 spectators turned out for the event.
However, due to a technical error, the race results were not released until the following day.
Organisers Knaresborough Lions revealed the winners online (see the full list of results here) and will now host a belated awards ceremony on Wednesday (25th June) from 7pm at Knaresborough Working Mens Club in Kirkgate.
The Mayor of Knaresborough Helen Westmancoat will be on hand to hand out silverware to the various category winners.
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Lions said:
“Apologies again for the delay in getting your silverware and [we] look forward to seeing as many as possible of you who can make it.”
