A Harrogate hearing clinic is marking a major milestone this month as it celebrates five years of supporting patients across the region.
Since opening its doors at Windsor House in 2020, the Yorkshire Hearing Clinic has grown rapidly, now caring for nearly 3,000 patients and delivering more than 10,800 appointments.
Managing Director Andy Armitage is delighted to have reached such an important milestone.
He said:
“When we started out, I had no idea just how successful the clinic would be, and to know 82% of our patients have come through recommendation is even better.
"We have completed over 500 REM-verified fittings performed to ensure clinical precision, and every single patient has reported improved hearing and communication in daily life after fitting.
"With all of our reviews on Google at 5* we have a lot to celebrate!”
The clinic was recently shortlisted for Best Independent Company in the Harrogate Advertiser Business Awards.

Andy founded the business after becoming disillusioned with the high-street hearing care model, opting instead for a more personal, patient-focused approach.
He said:
“The last five years have been brilliant. We are able to devote meaningful time to every patient — they are our focus, not targets or budgets.
"In addition to home visits, we provide follow-up appointments through our HearWell aftercare programme, and we now see patients travelling from as far as Darlington, Edinburgh and Blackpool.
"With free parking outside and full disabled access, we can accommodate anyone with a disability too.”
Long-standing patient David Slater praised the clinic’s impact on his quality of life.
He said:
“I’ve been using Andy at the Yorkshire Hearing Clinic for some years now. He’s always been incredibly helpful,” he said. “I told him I was having difficulty hearing people, especially with background noise or accents.
"Thanks to their HearWell programme, I’ve been using a hearing rehabilitation app as part of my daily routine, and it has made a remarkable difference — not only to my ability to hear, but to my quality of life.”
