A draw was held last night (Wednesday) to decide the 90 teams that will contest this year’s Great Knaresborough Bed Race.
The race was oversubscribed for the second consecutive year, with 124 teams vying for a spot in the event on Saturday 14th June.
Teams will parade their beds through Knaresborough before tackling a gruelling 2.4-mile course.
And the theme of next year’s event, organised by Knaresborough Lions, will be ‘TV adverts.’
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Lions said:
“Thanks to all of you who came along for this year's draw night.
“We'd love to have been able to fit in everyone but we really can only have 90 spots at most.
“If you missed out, don't despair, as teams do drop out so the door is not necessarily closed.
“And for those of you who got in, Castle Ings beckons…”
Knaresborough Lions have revealed the full list of 90 teams via social media.
Of the 124 who had signed up, those selected to take part appear with a 'Y' in the column to the right of their team name:
