In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, Pete Egerton speaks to Kettlesing father-of-three, James Badger, about a huge cycling challenge he's set to do, in memory of his wife and to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK. Philippa Badger was just 42 when she died of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) on 22nd April, 2022, leaving three young children aged 12, 10 and 6. To mark the first anniversary of her death, husband James and three friends are set to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in just 8 days, to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK. James only took up the sport a few years ago and aims to raise a total of £300,000 to fund a three-year research project into AML, which currently has only a 10% survival rate.
