Bonfire Night is back next weekend and there's set to be several fireworks displays taking place across the area.
Your guide to fireworks displays across the Harrogate district Bonfire Night is almost here and venues across the area are gearing up for a night of bangs, sparklers and entertainment. The bonfire and fireworks are set to return to the Stray in Harrogate and our own Nick Hancock will be hosting on stage. Check out our guide on the big bonfire events taking place across the Harrogate district this November… Friday 3rd November Ripon City Bonfire, Ripon - At the racecourse, with gates opening 5:30pm. The fire will be lit at 7pm and fireworks expected at 7:30pm. Tickets can be bought from www.Riponcitybonfire.org Unfortunately due to poor weather, visitors are unable to park cars at the racecourse. Belmont Grosvenor Bonfire Party, Birstwith - The school is hosting a fireworks event which is open to all. Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and fireworks start at 7.20pm. There's set to be music, food, drink and lots of children's activities. (Tickets are £10 for adults, free for children under 18, and can be bought from pta@belmontgrosvenor.co.uk) [caption id="attachment_46494" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Several displays are being held across the Harrogate district.[/caption] Saturday 4th November The Stray Bonfire, Harrogate - Harrogate’s bonfire on the Stray will return after attracting more than 10,000 visitors last year. The bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm followed by fireworks at around 7:15pm. Three acts will be performing on stage and, as with last year, The Scouts will be supplying visitors with burgers, sausages, hotdogs and vegetarian options. Wetherby Bonfire - Postponed. Boston Spa Community bonfire and fireworks - At Primrose Lane Primary School. It’s a community event, put on by Primrose Lane PTA. All proceeds go to the school. Bonfire and fireworks display, gates open at 5.30pm. For sale on the night is Drinks, Food (with Gluten Free and Vegetarian). Tombolas, candy floss and rides Walton Bonfire at Walton village hall - Gates open at 6pm before the bonfire is lit at 6:30pm and fireworks start at 7:15PM. Search for the event online as tickets must be pre-booked. Yolk Farm, Minskip - Yolk Farm host their bonfire night from 5:30pm. The fire will be lit at 6:30pm, but there’ll be NO FIREWORKS as it’s an animal and baby-friendly event. Dogs are welcome, there’ll be home cooked food and the yard will be open for children to play. Tickets are £5. Masham Bonfire - Masham's bonfire and firework display takes place on the Holme from 5:30pm. The fire will be lit at 6:15pm and fireworks due at 7pm. Cash donations are encouraged on the night. Pateley Bridge Bonfire - Pateley Bridge Bonfire takes place on the showground from 6pm, organised by Upper Nidderdale Scout Group. Entry is by donation and it’ll include a torchlit procession and bonfire at 6:30pm. There’ll also be a best guy competition and the fireworks are due at 7pm. [caption id="attachment_79655" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Harrogate Bonfire on the Stray in 2022.[/caption] Sunday 5th November Lightwater Valley, Ripon - Lightwater Valley have their Firework Finale set to music over swan lake. The display will start at 5:15pm, it’ll last for an impressive 15 minutes and admission is included in a day ticket. Collingham Bonfire - Cromwells Pub at Collingham has got an evening of live music from 7pm and fireworks at 8pm. Tickets are £5 and include a glass of mulled wine. The Queens Head Inn, Kettlesing - The Queens Head Inn will host their bonfire night party from 5pm. There’ll be pizza available, sparklers for sale, a charity cake stand raising funds for Felliscliffe school and firepits to keep you warm.
