Emergency services and council teams are continuing to respond after a reported landslip at Knaresborough viaduct prompted safety checks and temporary disruption yesterday (Sunday).
An update has been issued following the incident at Viaduct Terrace, with authorities confirming a coordinated multi-agency response remains in place.
North Yorkshire Councillor for Knaresborough West, Matt Walker, said the area is now under police control and has been safely cordoned off.
Police officers will remain on site to ensure public safety.
Rail services were briefly suspended as a precaution while checks were carried out.
All train services have since resumed, with passengers advised to check the National Rail website for any further disruption.

Northern Powergrid attended the scene due to the presence of electrical cables near the viaduct.
Following an assessment, the company confirmed that no damage had been identified.
The Environment Agency has inspected the river and its banks and will continue to monitor conditions closely due to recent rainfall.
Council highways officers were on site earlier in the day and are expected to return in the morning to carry out further assessments.
Councillor Walker thanked those involved in the response, saying:
“A huge thank you to all agencies involved for their quick, coordinated response.
“I’ll continue to share updates as soon as I have more information.”
