A popular Harrogate bus service towards Richmond returns this weekend - and will be running for a longer season.
The Eastern DalesBus 825 service returns on Sunday (20th April) and will run every Sunday and Bank Holiday until 19th October.
The service provides day-out opportunities for walking and sight-seeing in and around the Nidderdale National Landscape.
The bus will leave Knaresborough Bus Station at 09:50am and Harrogate Bus Station at 10:15am.
It will run via Ripley, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Galphay, Grewelthorpe, Hackfall, Masham, Jervaulx Abbey, Middleham and Leyburn to Richmond.
The return journey leaves Richmond at 3:15pm.
Full details are available online at www.dalesbus.org/825 and in timetable leaflets available from Harrogate Bus Station and other local outlets.
Guided walks
A programme of free guided walks accessible from the bus has been organised by the National Trust and DalesBus Ramblers.
The first of these walks is a Brimham Rocks Guided Walk of around five or six miles on Sunday 11th May, with National Trust volunteers.
Further information about the walks is available online at www.dalesbusramblers.org.uk
As part of a national initiative, all local bus fares are currently capped at a maximum of £3 for any single journey, and under 19’s can travel for just £1 each way on DalesBus services.
