Another road in Harrogate has been closed as part of ongoing works to future-proof the town's electricity network.
Royal Parade, from the junction of Valley Drive and Cornwall Road, will remain closed until 3rd May at the earliest.
Despite signage that the closure will be in place for 7 days, North Yorkshire Council's website claims the works will be completed on 3rd May.
The closure is to allow Northern Powergrid to continue to install ducting for the 33Kv scheme.
It will add to the disruption caused by the over-running works on Cornwall Road, which were due to end on 11th April but are still ongoing.
Valley Drive is also set to be closed from 2nd May until 3rd June from the junction of Royal Parade, just a few metres into Valley Drive itself.

Northern Powergrid is carrying out a programme of work with the aim of ensuring the local network in Harrogate has the capacity to support future demand.
The company, which is responsible for the network for eight million customers in the North, said Harrogate needs this investment as the demand on the town’s power network is predicted to increase significantly between now and 2050.
