Four talented Year 9 students from Rossett School have triumphed in the Yorkshire LEAP Young Entrepreneurs Challenge.
The team claimed top spot in the prestigious competition with their innovative product: Hot Potato Hand Heaters.
The Yorkshire LEAP Young Entrepreneurs Challenge is designed to nurture young talent by encouraging students to develop practical business solutions while honing critical skills.
The team, consisting of Lottie, Ava, Esme, and Anna, impressed judges with their exceptional skills in sales and marketing, problem-solving, finance and production.

Their winning product, Hot Potato Hand Heaters, not only showcased their ingenuity but also their commitment to making a positive impact.
All profits from the sales of their hand heaters have been donated to the Yorkshire Children’s Charity, reflecting the students’ compassion and community spirit.
Sarah Daly, the school’s Associate Assistant Head, expressed her pride in the team’s accomplishment. She said:
“This is an incredible achievement for our students.
“Their hard work, creativity, and dedication have truly paid off, and it’s wonderful to see their efforts recognised at such a prestigious event.
“They are a shining example of the entrepreneurial spirit we aim to foster at Rossett School.”
The announcement was made during the Yorkshire Business Awards on Friday 6th December.
The prize was presented by Sara Davies, renowned entrepreneur and investor from BBC’s Dragon’s Den, adding an extra layer of inspiration to the occasion.
