A bold new take on the legend of Robin Hood is heading to Harrogate Theatre this autumn.
Nottingham-based theatre company Nonsuch Studios brings its drag and cabaret production OUTLAWED to town on Saturday 11th October.
The show reimagines the famous tale of the heroic outlaw and their band of Merry Fools, inviting audiences to The Major Oak — a speakeasy-style setting in Sherwood Forest — for a night of music, comedy and performance.
Combining elements of drag, burlesque and cabaret, the production offers a contemporary and playful twist on the classic English story.

OUTLAWED was first performed in Nottingham in 2023, where it sold out its run, and is now embarking on its first national tour.
The show features a new cast including AK Golding as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Dora Gee as Maid Marian, Hunter Manning (in drag king persona Hunter Gatherer) as Robin Hood and international cabaret and circus artist Lucinda B.Hind as Friar Tuck’ed.
Nonsuch Studios, an independent theatre company and arts charity founded in 2013, is returning to national touring for the first time since 2017.
The company has previously reached millions of audience members through its live and online productions.
Artistic Director and CEO Edward Boott said the team was excited to share the production with new audiences.
He said:
“This is an incredibly exciting moment for Nonsuch Studios to return to touring and visiting so many amazing and illustrious venues.
“We can’t wait to reconnect with audiences across the country and share OUTLAWED in all its outrageousness.”
The OUTLAWED tour opened yesterday (8th October) in Lancaster and will visit Manchester, Wolverhampton, Harrogate, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Enfield, Colchester, Hull and Sunderland, before concluding in Newcastle on 24th October.
Tickets for the Harrogate performance are available from Harrogate Theatre’s box office here.
