A number of wartime aircrafts are set to fly over the Harrogate district next weekend.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) flypast is planned as part of the Tractor Fest celebrations on Newby Hall on 6th and 7th June.
Visitors to the event and residents can expect to see tier a Spitfire or Hurricane at 1:15pm on Saturday 6th and the Dakota at 3:15pm on Sunday 7th June.
The Dakota was widely used by the Allies during the Second World War, playing an essential role in dropping paratroops on the eve of D-Day, as well as missions to evacuate casualties and resupply forces

Organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA), Tractor Fest has grown over 19 years to become the UK’s largest tractor show.
Kevin Watson, chair of the YVA, said:
“It is always a huge privilege to host the the BBMF flypast and we are honoured to be doing so again this year. It’s a magnificent and memorable spectacle that is always popular with our visitors.”
More than 100 acres of the Newby Hall estate will become home to over 1,500 vintage and modern tractors and another 1,000 exhibits including stationary engines, commercial vehicles, cars, trucks and motorcycles.
A host of entertainment, crafts, food and drink will be on offer at the show and admission includes access to Newby’s gardens, adventure playground, dolls house and teddy bear exhibitions.
